Basecamp Tahoe South was the first in the Basecamp Hotels series. We purchased an abandoned motel that had been shut down for 3 years, re-entitled it through the City of South Lake Tahoe and the TRPA and proceeded to do a full gut-renovation of the hotel. In 2014 the opportunity arose to purchase the neighboring hotel which we did and added the property to the development, converting the parking lot to a successful Beer Garden.
